WORLD PVP in GB!

Hello I' m the GM of The Symbol and I have a proposition for you and all the guilds in Grim Batol that want to make a part of this idea.

I' ll do a simple copy paste from the symbol forum since I don' t want to write it all over again,there will be some off-topic things but you will definitly get the main picture here.

Hey people,

As you know the founders of this guild never considered it a pure 100% PVE guild.PVP is also a part of the game whether some like it or not and should be a part of this guild also.

Soon,if everything works well and mainly if the people of this guild agree with this idea you ll start having in the group calendar events raids to Ogrimmar and such.With such freedom in this game,an organized attack with 3/4 raids from different guilds it is absolutely possible and its a part of the game that many are forgetting.

Farming for gold to buy potions flasks,create new craftables,raid kara and Gruul over and over to get the epic equipment etc,feels like work sometimes.Yes,its necessary so the guild gears up while we try and kill Magtheridon but a little out of the PVE fun in my opinion it would be very nice too.

Imagine that you are a horde...Dueling at the gates of Ogrimmar...You look far away down the road and you see a raid of alliances marching towards you(walking).Your reaction would be to run inside and call for help probably where a massive group of hordes are busy with their usual stuff.They would start coming out as fast as possible to see what was about to happen or even try to kill us.The walking alliances down the road would be 1 raid of 1 guild,with a simple macro that automatically whispers the raid leaders of the other 3 raids telling them to attack,suddenly a massive group of alliances in their mounts(horsies) would invade ogrimmar in high speed.
Yes,very BraveHeart alike or any other epic movie but thats exactly the point since its perfectly possible in this game as long as the servers don t crash.Of course that you would have to tone down your game resolution and graphics a lot to not suffer from any drops of framerate.

The goal of this invasion would be obviously to take down King Thrall,king of Ogrimmar.IT WOULD BE AN EVENT THAT GIVES DKPS LIKE ANY OTHER RAID FOR SHOWING UP AND EXTRA DKPS FOR KILLING THE BOSS(KING THRALL).Just for those who only care about dkps,it wouldn t be a waste of time.The total DKP' s would match a full run to Gruuls or Magtheridon if Thrall goes down.

I' m giving DKP' s for these events because I will try to make it a weekly event,if not at least every 2 weeks along with other guilds transforming the peaceful Grim Batol server into a total warzone for both sides since hordes will surely retaliate.If we can make it work it can perfectly change our day to day gaming in Wolrd of Warcraft making it a much funnier game.

Let me know your feedback on this one,I know I m a bit lunatic,dreaming out loud,therefore my nickname being Kinado but I think its a really great idea.

We dont´have time for this even though it would be fun for a change.

Simply put. I´d rather down Vasjh and Kael'Thas before I down Thrall.

wast of time tbh,
dont get me wrong but i have the points to support my idea:

1- we have a raiding schedule that we like to stick with. and wont break it for such event.
2- if balance wanted to kill those bosses we can do it our selves (already did that lvl 60). and it will be easier since it will be 1 raid 40 members with audio comunication. not to mention the less ppl there is and the faster its excuted the less server lag and so.
3- we are at lady vaash atm, few steps away to have our spot in top 10 guilds kill or so. that is way more precious in hte eyes of balancians than thrall kill.

I understand that the farther in progress ppl are the harder it is to have free time without instances.But since this is a pvp server I don t mind trying to make it work and make it on a regular basis if the server can handle it.

Anyway,if I can get enough guilds/people willing to participate this will surely happen during weekends.Saturday maybe sunday..probably saturday.Its just for the fun of a movie like epic invasion giving the horde no chance but to retaliate giving us the kind of war we cannot find anywhere else but it BGs.

Hey people,

Still with the idea of making the horde' s life a living hell and GrimBatol a server in war I' m going to start scheduling events of mass raids to invade the Horde' s cities.If you are interested you just need to make the following steps:

1_Download GEM(guild event manager),you can find it here:
http://wow-en.curse-gaming.com/downloads/details/1147/

2_Click on the addon there is somewhere near your minimap,go to options and create the channel : Allianceraid with the pass: Grimbatol

_3 Choose to add this channel and you can now choose to remove the gemdefault channel.

_4 When you see an Orgrimmar raid on the events section(Haven' t scheduled anything yet) then you just have to subscribe,leaving a note if you wish also.You will be able to see the day and the hour of the raid.

You are now in the alliance channel to do world pvp raids,its still work in progress but very soon able to make the wanted raids.

PS: This post is going to be on as many forum' s I can put it on the Alliance guilds so don' t think I want your guild as a whole to join,just those who want to make a part of it.

Alegre we care about progress, pvp is something that you dontg´gain anything from, except arenas I guess.

What I meant is killing bosses like vasjh and progressing on kael thas and then getting to see mount hyjal and black temple now thats fun.

And we dont´farm 24/7 for pots, lol it´s like nothing to farm anymore.
I had pots to like a whole raid and now they will last very long until I need to even try and farm anything again.

One tip though, dont´harrass us, if we say no then we dont´want to get whispers or forum posts every 24/7 asking us to join then. Had to make that clear.

No need to take it the wrong way but you are thinking too high of yourself grizzly with the "don' t harass us" comment.This was just an idea I had to make the game different so I posted this on a lot of forum' s,copy paste,this was no exception.Point was to get the info out there in the realm,do not get the wrong idea please.Just had to make this clear because some guilds thought I wanted specificaly the players of their guilds which I don' t.

And yes,the biggest thrill of the game is indeed downing new bosses,explore new instances,working to be one of the best as a team.This was just something I thought it would be fun for those who would like to participate,call it advertising if you will.

All the information is there for those who want it,those who don' t there' s no point on replying so you can lock the thread if you wish before it goes off-topic.

Well sorry that I coudlnt´paste those 2-3 whispers about this already then, I would call that harrassing when I´ve clearly stated that I dont´want to participate.

The dont´harass us was meant for preventing purposes.

I´ve already said it´s a good idea.. but I will most likely not participate, it´s up to each and everyone in balance what they wanna do.

i just want u to know the common goal of 90% of the ppl in balance,
we feel bad enough that other guilds already exploring black temple and downing bosses there and we didnt enter it yet. and it gets worse everyday.
everybody has his own way of enjoying the game. and exploring new instances and trying everything in the game is our fun.

given that we dont usualy have alot of members in non raiding time except weekends.
