Thunderfury, legendary sword

as all of u know i got the Bindings of the Winseeker (left half from Baron), quest item to get Thunderfury legendary sword wich costed 255 points -.- (LB shoulders and bracers went for more... go figure those eeeevil paladins)

i started the quest and here's what i need:

10x elementium bars
1x essence of firelord
1x Bindings of the Winseeker (left half) (Complete);)
1x Bindings of the Winseeker (right half)

here's 1 thing i would like to ask, can i get the right half or i'm i gonna have to bid on it? i would really appreciate if i could get it since the drop rate is insanelly low (1.7%).

The other thing is, if u let me get the other half, this is the deal: as u all know i'm always rdy for any raid that we make so everytime u ppl are at Garr could u do like "Ok everyone that is in this raid, and doesnt need anything from Garr, can trade his spot for Arihyoshi? it's only for Garr kill" my request is if u can do this in the raids i'm not regular. it would be a greaaaat help!

the essence of fire lord is easy, now that i have the quest i just need to kill Rag to get it, i dont need to be in the first time we do it, because the drop is 100% once i'm in the raid, so i'll get the essence when i get my spot for Rag.

the elementium bars (AshitLoadOfItems Bars as some may call them)... these will surely take some time, since we need to do BWl to get the skill to smelt them and the ores:
1 bar -> 1 elementium ore (drops from goblins in BWL)
10 arcanite bars (OMFG... yes 10 for each bar, it's insane i know, but i'll do everything for my dream weapon)
3 elementak flux (from blacksmith vendor, easy)
1 fiery core (these i might have to buy them or trade dkp for them from the guild bank)

the smelting spell -> a guy named Krixix in BWL, he's near the 5th boss, in a hall between Firemaw and Ebonoc, he has 3 adds, so we sheep Krixix, kill the adds, and have a priest MC him, when he is MCed he has a spell called Smelt Elementium, the priest targets someone that can learn it and it's done.

After all the items: Thunderaan must die! so after i got all the items, in a year or 2 :X we need to kill Thunderaan, for this it would be cool if we could have a lot of members online, and request all EVT members help too, because he's not in an instance so we can kill him with a lot of ppl.

Also, it's a 30% proc (after about 10k hits worth of testing) of 300 damage meaning 90 more damage a hit average. On a 1.9 speed weapon that's an extra 47ish DPS. That means this is 53.9+47.3 DPS, that's 101.2dps on a 1hdr. Not to mention the attack speed debuff and the proc hitting multiple targets (AND it doesn't even break crowd control)

You're looking at the best 1hd sword in the game, without question. It makes Quel'Serrar look like a toothpick.

Watch a warrior swinging this baby vs a warrior swinging Quel and you're gonna see a roflstomp.

and imagine a combat rogue with adrenaline rush + blade flurry + slice and dice... i bet you're thinking: "OMG NERF NERF NERF" and kueichin is thinking "i'm fucked...", yes u are !! :X


(if some of u are wondering how i got so much info... i got it when i saw that the sword existed, even b4 i even knew i needed 2 drops from bosses from MC, it was my dream when i was still a kid (low lvl in other words )

I feel compelled to answer on the garr suggestion since I will probably be raidleader for quite some time now. As this is fairly new to us all especially with the first Legendary drop ever for Balance, we and certainly I do not know how this will be handled. One thing is certain though that you will be "given" the item at minimum cost if the other half drops and if you are in the raid.

Now when it comes to dropping of the other half I can say from the top of my head that it will be hard to implement the "let ari in and kill it so he can get his drop". If we have a full raid I would not ask someone to leave nor kick someone in order for you to get a spot at garr. And therefore I would like to see you already in the raid when we are doing Garr. Like you said the droprate is 1.7% which is very low. And you might not even be online at all when it drops if you´re unlucky.

Like I said this is all very new and we´ll see about what happens.

second, yea i know u wont kick someone just for me to enter, i'm just saying to trade the spot for Garr kill, ask if someone doesnt need any drops from him (ofc if someone doesnt say anything i'll just sit and hope, easy), doesnt hurt and it aint hard (ofc the person still gets his Garr loot points for the kill). but hey that's what threads are for, so ppl can express their opinion, so, ppl shoot your opinions

maybe i can give u my spot for gar sometimes. he drops ToEP and mana igniting cord that i want but my targets atm are the arcanist pants and boots so if we dont need a lot of mages for garr i can give u my spot for this boss

I got my helm from Garr last night so i dont need anything else from him (except Heavy Dark Iron Ring, if he can dropp it).
The problem is that if i am in the raid i think they need me to tank one of his adds
So i think rogues have to back you up on this part.

Heh... Good luck, you are going to need it! I support you all the way dude, but i don't think i will be able to trade my spot in the raid for Garr since i need 2-3 drops from him :S
It will proberbly take a whole lot of raids till we see the other half anyway

I don´t need anything special from him that I know of, still doubt that I will be able to trade you my spot cause of obvious reasons.

If you are online means that you can come to the raid and in that case you should sign up for it as regular and not just wait until everytime we do Garr.

just sign as regular arih Work your ass for the other half, hehe^^ I guess u getting the other half for minimum points is good enough (and since u won the first bidding, u deserve it). As for the spot trading, I think I don't need anything from garr now, got seal of archmagus and circlet of prophecy. Since the other ring I'm aiming for is cauterizing band But I also think I won't be able to trade for u, unless we have lots of healers, hehe What officers could maybe do, (and I don't know how fair that would be, for others) is give you priority in entering the raid team when we're doing garr, maybe at the cost of you losing priority when we're going for golemagg/sulfuron/domo, maybe. Just a suggestion though, and I repeat, don't know if that would be fair for other rogues and ppl in general. We could also take it normally until we have someone that can smelt elementium (since only then can u be ready to summon thunderaan) and then give u priority on garr... In the end, legendary drops requires a whole lot of thinking about how things like this are treated:P I hope u get that sword soon though, gl on it mate:P

The Problem with that mordred in giving him prio over other rogues is that we wont just go for 2-3 bosses but instead more and more. Soon we´ll take the whole mc including rag in one day, and it would be pretty unfair to all others if he got prio before anyone else.

But Like he said he will be online for all mc, then he can sign up as regular. Problem solved. And ohh btw, I don´t like the thought aboout a priest leaving for a rogue. Healers are needed allways.

Well, it was just a thought. And I specifically pointed out that fairness would probably be a flaw in my "idea" hehe. It's just that I would really like us to be the first guild with thunderfury, hehe^^ and atm that depends on skill and luck, but hopefully, when we down ragnaros and go for BWL, we'll be able to scrap skill out of the equation and only luck will remain. My thought was to "bend" that luck the best way possible, hehe, but I guess that's just not doable On the other hand though, arihyoshi will be the one to benefit from his future blade the most, so I guess it's only fair that he must work his ass off for it, hehe xD You are right, in the end, ofc, hehe
