Question for you all about TBC.
Of all the raid content you have seen since January, from 5 man to 25 man..
What boss do you remember as being stupidly hard?
What was your favourite boss?
What boss were you amazed by?
Any funny shit happen you will never forget?
Any other stuff?
Ok, me first
What boss do you remember as being stupidly hard?
I guess a lot of our experiences come from bosses pre tune...so it kind of doesnt apply anymore. Gruul and that evil shatter was my first memory of hating a boss. So I devised a map of safe spots to get round it
Vashj was just ridiculous, so fair play to Method pre tune.
Kaelthas was so hard for everyone cos of the duration of the fight
What was your favourite boss?
For me, RoS. Still hard now...its the only fight where I feel I am balancing on the edge all the time. Something is always affecting each member of the raid 100% of the time, always on your mind. Second to RoS ...Mother Shahraz. I actually loved that bitch pre nerf..so fucking hard and random. When it all clicked, the last 10% was amazing.
tbh Hyjal was a bit crap, all the bosses were easily overcome..Archi was so so simple, but people needed the 'stay alive at all costs' mindset ( something we needed at Mother) instead of the usual raid roles of dps/heal/tank.
What boss were you amazed by?
Kaelthas from P3 to 4 when everything shakes! and RoS. first time I ran down that ramp...man, that boss model blew me away.
Any funny shit happen you will never forget?
Everytime I fraps a kill I remember it. ''Does Rageaholic have potential'' ? on VR. One of my favourite shots of TBC.
I also remember on my trial into Balance pre Leotheras room I did an aoe fear and pulled crap loads of mobs, wiped the raid. I got -dkp and thought, that was it, I wont get in!! haha look at me now fuckers!!
Any other stuff?
Just my first Balance raid was a Doomwalker kill, and it was just another world. like 40 players online all hungry to pwn!
I would also like to make a formal apology to Nimoths mother, damn she got the piss taken out of her so much!!! Was great to lighten the mood tho :p

Gear and spec don't put you on top of the meter unless everyone is playing perfectly. Effort puts you on top. Play to the strengths of your gear and spec, know your tank, know your situation.

As I didn't get to see the pre-nerf SSC and TK, my choices for this are pre-nerf Archimonde and Shahraz. I want to put the emphasis on the word stupidly here as both fights were so random even a perfect attempt could end in a wipe. Disregarding the luck factor, Kael'thas is probably the hardest encounter due to the length of the fight and all the different elements in it.
What was your favourite boss?
Kael gets my vote here since the fight has a really epic feeling to it, especially when the raid wasn't overgeared for the encounter. Illidan and RoS are examples of very good fights too but they lack the epicness of Kael so they'll share the 2nd place on my list.
What boss were you amazed by?
Again, Kael'thas. I couldn't believe Blizzard would be able to develop such an epic fight and even balance it nicely. The scripts and the P4-->P5 transformation cutscene were the most remarkable as they made the fight feel even better.

On the first ever raid for me in Balance, I disconnected at Hydross and caused a wipe as I was on banish duty for the elementals and my char didn't disappear immediately so others didn't know I was gone until it was too late. The funny thing was that it was my first disconnect in about a year - of course it had to happen on the raid I was supposed to give a good first impression
I'm glad I got another chance to prove my worth later
Another funny thing happened on Illidari Council the night we first killed them. Me and Darkesty, the DPS whores both of us are, had CoDooms up on Lady Malande and of course ended up pwning ourselves with Reflective Shield
Sometimes you're just bound to learn stuff the hard way.
Any other stuff?
When doing Kael for the first time, I somehow managed to end up 2nd in damage despite wearing a blue robe and mostly Kara gear. I still don't understand how I pulled that off - must've gotten really lucky with crits or something
