Sign Ups?
I know this is a weird thing to whine about, but i think the sign up should be taken somewhat more seriously of all players.
Like: Todays BWL run: Sign up on druids:
Regular: Losanchered
Ekstra: Mysto, Dragoness and Loko
Well, on the raid, every single druid participated EXCEPT Losanchered himself, the only person who signed as Regular:P
Well i don't know:P Doesnt make sense as to the 'Sign Up'

My opinion about the signups, is for raidleaders to get a general picture about "the intrest" of people who are willing to participate in the current raid-event. And for classes that we have alot of (not to mention any), have a chance to book their spot in the raid.
I think the signup is good, if you want to play...sign up as regular
If you are able to play, and willing to contribute if needed...sign up as extra! ...easy

Like I said before. We got a lot of slackers in this guild. And it´s a problem that wont go away that easily. Yeah the original thought was to see how many can and want to come, but you all see the list, everybody just signs up on extra or don´t signups at all. Sure they mighyt show up anyways all the time even thought not signed up, but they use that as an excuse when they DON`T want an invite. SO people have made a habbit of it to not sign up so that they can leech points in that manner instead.
the "I´m didn´t sign up on regular, or, I signed up on extra" is said repeatedly to me. Frankly if you´re online and you can play, then you should go and help THE GUILD!!!!
That´s jut my opinion.

I myself usually sign as regular whenever I have the time to play, and extra when I'm not sure if I have it or not (specially when I don't know if I'll be at home at the time the raid starts). I only don't sign at all when I find that odds are I really won't be able to play, or at least to come on time for the raid start (don't like to leech extra points, therefore wether I'm extra from the start, or I'm just a willing replacement a bit after). I think it's a fair system and also that everyone could do the same
By the way, and i'm happy there is an ongoing topic I can talk about this on. I am sorry for my current condition, but as many of you may know, my connection is simply horrible atm. I lagg stupidly high inside BWL (actually, high everywhere, but somehow, BWL tops everything else), constant disconnects and huge lag (totally freezing) spikes. Therefore my utility is very short, not to say null, on those raids. I intend to test my connection once again on BWL if grizzly allows me to, but if results are as negative as they have been, then I'll keep myself off of any BWL or even any raid at all (i don't think i lag that much in MC or onyxia, for what i can remember, but to avoid being called loot leecher or something like that, I'll gladly keep myself from any loot-friendly raid if necessary). So grizzly, sorry once again for not performing as I and u'd like on last raids, but can't really do anything about it, and I can't make everyone susceptible to my lag spikes and constant disconnects:P Therefore while my connection doesn't get better, I'll keep myself off, waiting for my new connection to be activated
p.s- what i don't understand is how I enter BWL with green or yellow ping, cast spells fine, but as time goes by ms keep rising and I reach peak values such as 15000ms before disconnecting
doesn't happen anywhere else and most of all, it didn't happen during last weekend's razorgoe tries :SS

My oppinion about regulars, They should have some advantages and disadvanteges. First, if they sign as regulars, they should be Prioritated FIRST of all other, but then again, they have to meet up in, or else they should get minus DKP or some sort of punishement. Ekstras can not be gartantied spot, but should also not be punished if they didn't meet.
Like me yesterday signed Ekstra because i wasn't sure i could come, but i could anyway. And I have been participated in allmost every raid.
The reason I toop up this dilemma, is that it was one of the weirdest Sign Up yesterday, especially on the druid side.

There may be other reasons than laziness that makes regulars not appearing, so minus dkp or other punishment isnt really fair I think.
I am not the most active but I will try to join as many raids as possible, now I got reasonable FR-gear

when u sign up as regular, you dont do it to guarantee a spot in the raid whether you come or not (for any reason), you have to be there on time and if u're not sure you can come, thats what extras are for
thats what i thought at least =P

Thinking of reworking the signups completely. Many think that regulars aare equal to extras. Every raid there´s about 1-5 people leaving for various reasons. While I can´t and will not force you to stay, I can however point out that if you know that you´re leavin gafter 1-2 hours, or can´t come to the whole raid, then please don´t sign up as regular, or if you already did it, then tell me it before hand so that I don´t get in the midst of a boss fight.. "dude I have to leave- bye"
I would rather have people who can join the entire raid.

Yeah, that would make some more sense to the "Regular" sign ups.
Anyway, if you are planning to rework the sing up Grizzly, then I don't think we would have a better person to do it than you (not considering that you prolly have tons of things to do, but you are the one who do the invites all the raids and have been to every raid). You have the most experience with invites and stuff.
But I am not saying that the Sign Up system is bad, not at all. The sign up is a very good system, but there is lots of people who doesn't use it correctly maybe.
