need help at signups(new guy in the block)

Hi guys. i have recently joined Balance so I am new here. i just want to know if new ppl can sign up for raids straighway or they must meet some prerequicites. if i need prerequicites what i must do? and if i dont i should signup as an extra? cause i am at my exams period and dont know if i can be loged in every day at 19:00 server time.
Finaly i want to know were to download Ventrilo.

sign up if you know that you can be there 1900 every day otherwise dont. just sign up at extra and be online at 19 if u can. '

Sign up as extra if you aren't sure you can be there at 19:00 every night.

Of course attunement to the core and drakefire amulet has to be ready.

thx for the help. i have done attunement and ony prequests, so i am ready. I only have to deliver drakkisha's blood(that i already have in my inventory) so i will recive the drakefire amulet.
i'll sign up as an extra after i have downloaded ventrilo.
one more thing about mods. I know that CTraid is necessary for every raid.But what other mods can a mage find useful except CTraid at MC and Ony?

Decursive is very useful I've heard.

And for Onyxia, there is a Mod called Onxia Deep Breath warner aswell, very useful even though they spam on raid and vent about DB if it comes that is.

Well, as a mage I find decursive a must against all the zerg-like bosses. It's really a pain when the only thing you do in a fight is select people and press decurse. Decursive makes this quicker and easier, so you might even find room for an odd frostbolt (which shall be cancelled when the curses are reapplied). I find scrolling combat text useful as, when decursing I don't notice when I get hit, SCT shows it above my character

And of course, whispercast. You may think it's only for pallys, but it's really easier when you're handing out arcane brilliance. Also works fine for curses. When we get those group curses I hit WC first, then my decursive macro.
