Fails to startup WoW

Fails to startup WoW

Postby Kali » Thu Jan 27, 2011 8:51 pm

Whenever I try to start up WoW I get the Launcher pop-up which shows a blue bar instead of a green one and says: Downloading updated tools. The bar wont move and then suddenly the Launcher vanishes. Now, whenever I try to start up, the Launcher won't even show, nor will WoW start.

Removed a Launcher.patch file from my folder. Restarted WoW, it created a new .patch file. Clicked that, WoW loaded. You're a genious!

Reinstalling wow isnt as terrible anymore though. Get the client from battle.net and with good connection youre back up and running within an hour.

Or just press Ctrl-Alt-Del and kill the launcher.patch process, then restart the launcher as usual. No need to reinstall or remove any files ;)
