Everything went smooth and all until i put in the Windows 7 disc and it just cant find my hardrive in the section where i choose to format and on what drive i want to install windows on. It just doesnt show anything there. I plugged the drive into this computer just to format it and it went fine but it still cant find it on the other computer.
Any Tips or solutions from you guys ?

Well you are sure that you are making a new partion to install it on. If you choose the advanced options, and are at where you should be able to choose where to install it, there is a small blue "link" like text in the lower right hand side of the window press it and you should be given the options to make a new partition.
Second, check to see if the cables are in, i know this seems dumb but HDD cabels can be a bitch to get properly in the sockets.
And thirdly with the new'er highend motherboards, you will properly have multipul options of plugging it in, test all of them, some of them might only work after you install some software/config the right options.
Hope it help, otherwise give an update, and i'll see if i can help.

Thanks for responding. I have pressed that blue "link" alot of times but it still wont let me create new partitions or anything. The SATA cables are in have checked it alot of times and even swapped the DVDR SATA with the one i had in my hardrive without success.

And what does it say when you try and press the button to make a new partition?
The button is just Gray and cant be clicked.

Well the only thing i can see could fuck it up is if you formatted it in fat32.
Or are you stacking the HDD and the DVD on the same socket in the motherboard?
Sorry im no expert on this just hoped you had hit one of the problems i have had, in my long line of bad luck when it comes to building my own pc.

Hi there, haven't posted here in a while, sold my acc and quit wow alltogether but still great to see you guys doing well!
Ontopic, download another ISO of your windows 7, it's highly likely you've downloaded one of them stripped down custom versions of w7. I had the same issue, couldn't find my sata drives, not in single or raid mode.
Got another version and it recognized them!

Too lazy to read the entire thread, but usually issues like this comes down to wheter or not the SATA controllers operates in legacy or native mode. There should be an option for this in your BIOS setup.
