Balance - The End of an Era - the start of a new!

After many ups and quite a few downs it has been decided to call time on raiding in Balance. For some people who have been here since Vanilla or at least played for a long time here it is a sad time, but that is to be expected and it is still something to say that we as a hardcore raiding guild, managed to compete for as long as we did.

For now this is it for Balance as a 25 man raiding guild. There is another post for guild members about the future but I would personally like to say thanks to the vast majority of people I've had the pleasure of playing with in Balance because it wouldn't have been fun and lasted so long without you guys.

Other posts can list names, suffice to say thank you to the members who made the guild what it was, the officers for their time and effort, to our webmaster Lan and finally to Grizzly and Cless respectively, for leading the guild and keeping the show on the road

This is a really sad day to me , Balance been my best home ever even if my wow time been between US & EU WOW .. very soon I'll complete 4 years since I joined Balance .

I would like to thank all Balance generations from MC till MOP for kept this guild alive for this long , its been a very long journey.

Time for the knights to have a rest .

As sad as it is, I would just like to say it takes great leadership and courage to say enough is enough. The show will go on, only priorities have shifted.

Some of us, hopefully, have become more mature (in my case like a bottle of red wine) and we enjoy the game and company of our fellow raiders differently. Yes, we miss those days of server first kills and even high world ranking kills. The competitive spirit burns in all of us. But just like professional athletes, we all have a moment of opportunity and have to be realistic that when that moment is gone it is no longer sustainable to compete at the same level under different game conditions and shifted real life priorities.

Finally, I would like to thank you all for the ride and many hours of real life you have wasted in keeping me and everyone else entertained. I still savour those moments and so should you all!

Looking back on my raiding days in vanilla makes me happy. I know so many of you who had a good laugh at me, in many many different ways. I was not one of the best, but when killing Kel'Thuzad I was. I remember that day so clear, more than anything in my life. How I finally pulled out a top performance when it mattered the most. All my time in Balance, and reading about all your new kills been a happy time of my whole life.

But I, as many others, knew it couldn't last forever. Hopefully you'll continue in some way.

It is sad to see a hardcore raiding guild stop like this, but it is inevitable some day we all have to stop. I am just happy to say that I have been a part of this awesome guild in it's prime days and surely I will never leave this community of awesome ppl that I have meet down the road.
