Hi guys and gals, lucky me going back to uni next week and I really need to get some work done on my uni research project. As time is short and I managed to pull the subject of "computer games addiction" out of the hat ( >.< ) I thought I would start out with my fellow BB gamers. if you got a spare minute or 2 plx fill in my questionnaire and return it to burningblade.answers@googlemail.com

1. To what level would you put a mmorpg before your real life?
1 – hardly play at all would not miss anything for a game
10 – would miss whole days of work, weddings, graduations or other important
events

2. What is the biggest event you have missed to play a game?

3. Why did you think you decided to play the game instead of this?

Qiu Chengwei, a hardcore fan of the Legend of Mir 3 MMORPG, had lent his friend Zhu Caoyuan his Dragon Sabre, a high level weapon.
Zhu sold the sword without consulting Qiu, making a healthy profit of 7200 Yuan (approximately £425). When Qiu found out he broke into Zhu's house and stabbed him with "great force" in the chest, killing him.
Qiu, 41, was hit with a suspended death sentence, which essentially means he has been given life imprisonment. With good behaviour it's thought he could be released within fifteen years.
4. Does it concern you that people display this type of behaviour concerning a game?

5. Are you aware that computer game addiction exists on a similar level to
alcoholism and smoking?

6. Why do you think you spend so much time in an activity that gives no tangible
reward?

1. I'd say about 4, I'd never miss a family event, but I might skip a movie or something if there's BWL/AQ..

2. Don't think I've actually missed a big event for WoW tbh..

6. Well, you can say that about almost every hobby there is, I dont play to reap some reward, I play because I have fun.. and I get epix!

for all you lazy people that can't be arsed to write an e-mail (i know i probrably wouldn't <3 to all who did) he is an onilne form should take 1 min max to fill in
