The Grand Widow, Faerlina was downed by Balance today. Faerlina proved more difficult then we thought, thus it took us much longer then expected, three whole nights of wiping instead of the usual one nighter.

The fight is very fast and highly mana consuming due to Rain of Fire, Poison Volley and 6 adds that can hit pretty hard, so preperation by the raid is needed, Fire and Nature protection potions were preferred.
The fight can be a bit random, like Razuvious since mindcontrol is rather random, sometimes breaking when you least expect it.
But overall this is a very short and sweet fight. It shouldn't be lasting any more than 4 minutes, and as such, it's a DPS race to get her down before you run out of adds to mindcontrol and silence her with.

With only one night of real tries, Balance has done it again. Monday the 26th we took down Instructor Razuvious the first boss in the Death Knight wing, Naxxramas. He comes with 4 additional mobs when pulled.

"Four Understudies, circled around this great evil, bowing to his will, and practicing the dark arts in service of that will."

This boss fight is fairly complicated and a bit random. Instructor Razuvious's adds are mindcontrolled and used for tanking the Instructor, since he hits tanks for around 8-12k and clothies for around 25k. The mindcontrol can break fast, even the first second of the mindcontrol it is possible it will break, so it can be very luck based. But thankfully you can divine intervent right next to the boss and have the raid up, buffed and ready to roll in 5 minutes.
The tries went slow, but steady, each try getting around 15-20% progress. When our rogues got their pathetic reflexes working, they evasion tanking went smooth and Razuvious went down.

Balance started Naxxramas last thursday with an excellent raid on Instructor Razuvious developing strategies the whole evening and nearly downing him. No raids were friday and saturday due the Swedish Midsummer-festival since the majority of the guild is Swedish.
Sunday we headed for the Spider wing, for Anub'rekhan a Crypt Lord boss which drops many fine items, and a quest item for the Tier 3 bracers. After just 3-4 pulls we were at Anub'rekhan which was nice for a change, not having to spend ages clearing trash mobs before the boss.

Anub'rekhan or Anewb'rekhan went down rather easely after dedicating a night of tries on him since the fight is quite simple. Anub'Rekhan has two Crypt Guards with him that can be stunlocked. Every 1:30 during the fight, another crypt guard will spawn as well.

Loots were rather different then Balance is used to, yes, we actually got good loots.
